Fusion Dance at Apple Blossom Festival

The Desi Rhythms Boston School of Dance will perform "East Meets West" at the festival.

WESTFORD, MA - The Apple Blossom Festival is a perfect opportunity to get out and enjoy Spring with some family fun.

Nothing says family like a group of dancing mothers performing a scintillating fusion dance filled with colorful costumes, elegant dance moves and creative props.

The Desi Rhythms Boston School of Dance will perform “East Meets West,” a number that will take you on a journey through different dance forms.

The piece ranges from Indian classical to semi classical and fusion/contemporary to modern dance.

It will be performed at the Kiwanis Award Ceremony on Saturday, May 14, at the Abbot Middle School after the Apple Blossom Parade.

The group is composed of six members, all ranging in age from 35 to 48 years old.

“East Meets West” is choreographed by Jyothi Setty and she is accompanied by dancers Archana Gorur, Pooja Mathur, Rashida Rangwala, Shubhangi Sistu and Madhu Verma.
