Grand Jury Indicts Chelmsford Man in Westford Child Rape Case

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan announced multiple Grand Jury indictments last week, including two cases out of Westford and several others involving Westford residents.

In the Westford cases:

• Thomas Hickey, 32, of Chelmsford, was charged with rape of a child by force (4 counts).
• Craig Monahan, 28, of Westford, was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (2 counts), assault and battery on a family or household member (4 counts), larceny of a motor vehicle, larceny over $250, witness intimidation, malicious destruction of property over $250 (2 counts), and threatening to commit a crime (2 counts).

In nearby Chelmsford, there was an additional case:

• Lennell Lopez, 24, of Nashua, N.H., was charged with trafficking Oxycodone, possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance, possession of a Class B substance, possession with intent to distribute a Class C substance, possession with intent to distribute a Class D substance, operating a motor vehicle under the influence (2 counts), operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and conspiracy to violate the drug laws.
