Grey Ghosts or Red Sox: Who Do You Love More?

When it comes to your passion and attention, do you favor Westford's local teams or regional and national professional juggernauts like the Red Sox?

For folks who live outside of Westford or those who don't follow Westford Academy sports, sometimes, well, it can be as heartbreaking as being a Red Sox fan.

Like the Red Sox, Westford Academy has a history of excellence and always comes very close to glory in many sports. Over Westford Patch's few years in town, we've seen state championships in girls' tennis, swimming and pole vaulting just to name a few.

But, just like the Red Sox, being a Grey Ghosts fan means tough losses that break your heart, particularly after seeing the kids pour their souls into trying to win the big game, whether it was the crucial Lincoln-Sudbury football game in 2011 that could have catapulted the Ghosts to the post season or the heartbreaking late loss at Thanksgiving this year against Acton-Boxborough, or for that matter, the gut wrenching girls' basketball and girls' hockey losses this weekend.

So today, we want to ask you where the Grey Ghosts rank when it comes to your sports focus.

Are they more important than say college teams or the pro teams in Boston (and Foxboro) to you? If so, do you have a kid on the team? Were you once a Grey Ghost yourself?

And if your favorite team isn't the Grey Ghosts and you live in Westford, what's your take there?

Or are you indifferent to the Ghosts or don't care for sports completely? Or do you dislike Westford Academy's sports teams for some reason?

And what about the Vikings of Nashoba Tech? Should they get more attention?
