Man Claims $100K Winner With Just 2 Days To Spare

The Tyngsborough man's Mass Cash winner was set to expire Wednesday, a year after he purchased it.

A Tyngsborough man claimed a $100,000 lottery prize two days before it was set to expire.

David Gebo claimed the Mass Cash winnings Monday, just prior to it expiring a year after the winning numbers were drawn on Feb. 24, 2019. Gebo purchased the ticket at a convenience store in Dracut, which gets a $1,000 bonus for the sake.

There is one more $100,000 Mass Cash prize set to expire Wednesday. The winning ticket was sold at Costa Sunoco Mini Mart in New Bedford on Feb. 26, 2019.

If the prize expires it becomes part of the Lottery's net profit that it distributes to Massachusetts cities and towns.
