Unresponsive Person Found on Island Accompanies Man With Spinal Injury On Medflight

Early reports indicate a 25-year-old man on Trailside Way has suffered a spinal injury, shortly after firefighters found an individual on the island at Kennedy Pond.

 

According to police and fire scanner reports, at approximately 4:20 p.m., a 25-year-old man suffered a spinal injury on Trailside Road.

A medflight helicopter was requested by local emergency officials, touching down at a grass field on Robbins Road near the Red Hat campus at 4:40 p.m.

The man was reported to have limited sensitivity in his lower extremities.

UPDATE: An unresponsive individual was found at on the island on Kennedy Pond near the end of Vinebrook Road at 3:48 p.m.

After retreving the individual by boat, that person joined the man in the medflight, which was sent to Tuft's Medical Center in Boston.
