Medical Marijuana Dispensary Coming to Westford?

WESTFORD, MA - Westford might be about to get a little bit greener with a new medical marijuana dispensary aspiring to move into town.

Seven Point of Massachusetts, Inc. has submitted an application to open a legal dispensary at 3 Lan Drive, attorney Douglas Deschenes told Patch.

The Board of Selectmen will hear the company's request for a letter of support or a letter of non-opposition next month.

If successful, Seven Points will be facing a long process of applying for special permits from the state and Westford's zoning board, Deschenes said.

The company already has an agreement with the Lan Drive building's owner to rent out a 2,000-square-foot space, Deschenes said.

Seven Point CEO Brad Zerman told the Lowell Sun the property is attractive for a number of reasons.

"That Littleton Road area, it's really a safe area, it's well-lit, there's public transportation," Zerman told the Lowell Sun.
