Nashoba Tech Seniors Make Final Year Memorable Amid Coronavirus

Nashoba Valley Technical High School decided to make the final couple of months memorable in other ways.

WESTFORD, MA — With schools closed for the rest of the school year, and seniors in the Class of 2020 missing out on the rituals of senior year — no awards night, no prom, no grand graduation ceremony — Nashoba Valley Technical High School decided to make the final couple of months memorable in other ways.

A group of teachers and administrators have planned several special events to help seniors still feel the joys of having finished four years of high school. They started by visiting the homes of all 160 members of the NVTHS Class of 2020 and delivering a sign each senior could place in his or her yard declaring, "Nashoba Valley Technical High School Class of 2020 Strong."

They snapped a photo of each senior with the sign.

Taking part in the visits were teachers and senior advisers Donna McMahon and Theresa Ristaino, teachers David McCloskey and Bruce Sullivan, and administrators Kyla Callahan (guidance director), Ryan Wood (dean), James Creed (assistant dean/athletic director) and Jeremy Slotnick (principal).

More events for Nashoba Tech seniors are in the planning stages.
