Power Restored For Westford After Storm

Severe thunderstorms tore through Massachusetts and much of New England Sunday night, bringing with them torrential rain and high winds.

WESTFORD, MA — Power has been restored to the more than 100 homes and businesses who were still without power Monday morning after a storm whipped through the region Sunday night.

"The estimated time of restoration for Westford customers was shortly after noon," said Chris Milligan from National Grid.

Severe thunderstorms tore through Massachusetts and much of New England Sunday night, bringing with them torrential rain and high winds that knocked out power for some 21,000 after midnight, according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency.
