New Teacher Supply Closet Up and Running at Crisafulli Elementary
The closet's initial stock was donated by BJ's Wholesale Club, but will rely on parent donations and PTO fundraisers going forward.

WESTFORD, MA - Another Westford elementary school is now stocked with a teacher supply closet.
The Crisafulli Elementary PTO announced they that BJ’s Wholesale Club recently offered a donation to help set up the closet that features items for classroom use such as tissues, paper towels and cleaning supplies.

The Crisafulli PTO began pursuing a supply closet at the school after a similar closets was established at Robinson Elementary earlier this school year, according to a press release.
In the past, teachers have relied on parent donations or their own money for the items now stocked in the closet.

“The PTO saw an opportunity to improve upon the way things had been done in the past,” explained Kim Koehr, co-president of the Westford Elementary PTO. “We didn’t want teachers to have to worry about running out of supplies, spending their own money or taking up valuable classroom space storing their individual supplies. In addition, students did not enjoy carrying in paper goods in their backpacks.”
The supply closet will be maintained through donations and PTO fundraisers, according to the press release. Parents or local businesses interested in contributing to the supply closet can contact the PTO at pto.jac@gmail.com.
