Sean Kelly To Run For Reelection To Westford School Committee

WESTFORD, MA — Sean Kelly has announced that he will run for reelection to the Westford School Committee.

Kelly has served on the School Committee for the past three years. He has helped work to hire a new superintendent, navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, and support full day kindergarten.

“I am excited at the chance to continue working for the great residents of this town,” said Kelly in a statement. "I am proud of what we have accomplished, but there is a lot to be done. I will bring a collaborative approach and steady hand to the position.”

“I am running to make Westford the best school system possible for my neighbors and for my family,” he continued.

Kelly is currently the School Committee Liaison to the Board of Directors for Westford Community Access Television (WestfordCAT), a member of the Healthy Westford Committee, School Committee Representative for the contract negotiations team, and liaison to the Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC).

In addition, Kelly is a local trial attorney at Marcotte Law Firm in Lowell. He earned his law degree, cum laude, from Syracuse University, where he was a member of the Syracuse Law Review, and is licensed to practice in the state courts, federal district, and bankruptcy courts of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Kelly also holds a B.A. and a M.B.A. from the University of New Hampshire.

In 2021, Kelly was name a Rising Star by Super Lawyers and was selected as a Fellow to the
Massachusetts Bar Association’s (MBA) Leadership Academy. Kelly is a former Director of the
Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the MBA and a current member of the Massachusetts
Academy of Trial Attorneys and Greater Lowell Bar Association.

The Town of Westford will hold its local election on Tuesday, May 3.
