DeSimone was announced in mid-January as the board’s pick to lead the district after longtime superintendent Judith Klimkiewicz retires; she has agreed to stay at the helm until her replacement is found.
The chairwoman for the school committee, Jennifer Rhodes, announced last week that the school committee would hold a public meeting Monday, Feb. 1 at 6 p.m. to discuss how to proceed. The meeting will take place at Nashoba Valley Technical High School.

DeSimone was the top pick from among three finalists; the other two were Nashoba Tech Principal Denise Pigeon and Shawsheen Valley Technical High School Assistant Superintendent
Carissa Karakaedos. The committee must now determine whether to offer the job to one of the other two finalists or reopen the search.
The public is welcome at Monday’s meeting.
