Town Of Westford: Discolored Water - Church Street Neighborhood

Residents of Church Street and nearby streets may experience discolored water this morning due to usage of an area fire hydrant.   This discoloration is harmless, and the Water Department is on scene flushing the water mains.    This may take a few hours (approx 2-3 pm).   Once the water mains have been flushed this discoloration should dissipate quickly by running a COLD water tap (best if tub is used) for several minutes.   If your water does not clear within 15-20 minutes please contact the Water Department at 978-692-5529.
