Westford 2020 Annual Town Meeting: What's On The Docket
On June 11, the League of Women Voters are holding a virtual pre-Town Meeting event.

WESTFORD, MA — The Annual Town Meeting will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, at the Westford Academy Trustees Field.
A virtual pre-Town Meeting event will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, sponsored by theLeague of Women Voters, according to the Town.
The Board of Selectmen, School Committee, and Finance Committee will be jointly meeting during this session to review Annual Town Meeting Warrant Articles. The public is encouraged to participate.

On the agenda for this June's Town Meeting will include the question of whether to approve appropriating $3.6 million for things like walkie-talkies for school staff, computer replacements for town and school officials, a phone system replacement new visitor bleachers for the schools, and replacing part of a water main.
Articles three through 12 deal with budgets and appropriations. Article 13 proposes joining a number of other communities across the commonwealth - and nation - to rename Columbus Day to "Indigenous Peoples' Day."
