McEnaney's retirement, means the town will have to find someone to replace him. The Select Board approved Ross's request to appoint Deputy Police Chief Mark Chambers as the Provisional Police Chief effective Jan. 24.

Two Select Board members and a resident will participate in the process to promote the search for a new chief.

Anyone interested in participating can fill out a Citizen Activity Form online before Feb. 4, and the board will select a resident to participate at their Feb. 9 meeting.

A request for proposals for a firm to conduct a Police Chief Assessment Center was released Thursday. Proposal documents may be viewed online by visiting the town's Bid Postings website.
