Westford's NetScout Announces New Product

The NetScout/Red Hat building expansion is nearly complete, and last month NetScout announced a new product to help inaugurate the new and improved campus.

In a press release posted on the Wall Street Journal, NetScout announced what they are calling the nGeniusONE Unified Performance Management Platform, an IT service management approach designed to help IT teams better handle their systems.

"Delivering applications has become a critical aspect of IT operations, and a shift toward service-centricity requires that IT operations align their functions in context of how successfully applications and services are being delivered," said Jim Frey, vice president of research, network management at Enterprise Management Associates, in the release. "NetScout has a long history and demonstrated leadership in providing deep, rich visibility to IT operations, by extracting layer 2-7 application and network intelligence in real time.”

The product is already being used by companies such as CareerBuilder.com

"CareerBuilder operates the largest online job site in the U.S., so we know first-hand the importance of effectively monitoring both application and network performance," said Mahmoud Harb, Director of Global Site Operations at CareerBuilder, in the release. "The introduction of nGeniusONE expands the value of NetScout's solution by visualizing different aspects of the service architecture and combining application and network performance metrics into a single converged workflow with multi-layered analytics capabilities. This further supports our efforts in assuring an optimal user experience."
