Weston Road Construction And Repairs: An Update

WESTON, MA—Weston's DPW is moving forward with road construction activities, among other projects, and is developing and coordinating plans for anticipated future projects, as shared from the department this week. Below is a brief list of what is being developed. DPW activities are outlined in a weekly work update, Additional anticipated road work is listed in the latest update.

"Our DPW Department has a lot on its plate, even more now with the passage of certain articles at Annual Town Meeting," said the update from the town. "Please have patience with the unavoidable inconvenience of road work and know that this Department works very hard to carry forth its mission."

Roadway Work

Summer Street and Old Summer Street -

• structure adjustments
• slope stabilizing at drainage structure closet to River Road (5/10 or 11)
• planned paving work (top course) early next week (weather dependent)
• pavement markings and loaming will follow thereafter

Perry Lane –

• structure adjustments
• planned paving work (top course) early next week (weather dependent)
• loaming will follow thereafter

Sutton Place –

• structure adjustments;
• driveway apron/sidewalk work;

Conant Road (Church Street to Woodward Lane) –

• structure adjustments and cleanout at Church Street (a covered CB)

• Glen Road (Shady Hill Road to Oak/Cliff Intersection) – gas main replacement ongoing

Drainage Work

• Montvale / Fairview – drainage installs ongoing

• Columbine and Dean Roads Water Main Replacements ongoing
• Dam Work at Cooks Pond – dam rehabilitation ongoing
• Paines Hill Tank Telemetry Building – building construction ongoing

• Street Sweeping – Annual program

• Spring cleanups in Parks, cemeteries, and Town Building areas – Annual Program
