5 Things: Clutter Control Program at West Roxbury Library Tonight
Paul Pierce's Celebrity Bowling Tournament is at Legacy Place tonight in Dedham.
- Today attend a free Clutter Control session at the West Roxbury Library at 6:30 p.m. See attached flyer for more info.
- Friday is the deadline to sign up for the Jason Roberts Challenger League that plays locally at the Ohrenberger School ballfield. Games played Monday through Thursday from 5:45 p.m - 7:30 p.m. Children ages 6-12 play on Mondays and Wednesdays, and children older than 12 play on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Parents may access registration information here or or request a form by calling Bill Hubbard, Director at 617-364-9249 or emailing bhjrcl@aol.com. Participants learn not only the fundamentals of baseball, but also how it feels to be just like other children - pulling together as a team, being cheered and earning awards for their achievements. Opening day ceremonies for this season will take place on Monday, April 29 at 5:45 p.m.
- Today is "The Truth Strikes Again" Celebrity Bowling Tournament with Paul Pierce and a bunch of his friends, who I imagine you'd be interested in seeing. Boston Celtics Captain Paul Pierce and New England’s all-star athletes and celebrities hit the lanes to benefit Pierce’s Truth on Health Campaign and FitClub34, a program designed to empower and inspire young people to lead healthier lifestyles. 600 Legacy Place, Dedham. 6 p.m. $75.
- The Boston Flower & Garden Show started Wednesday and ends on Sunday. Concern for the environment and enthusiasm for home veggie production have planted “Seeds of Change” in New England’s gardens. This spectacular five-day event features over 20 gardens created by professional landscape designers, nurseries and historic properties embracing innovative new plants, materials and techniques that increase the beauty, bountiful harvest and ecological friendliness of gardens and outdoor spaces. $20 or cheaper.
- Register now for Parkway Little League here, the season begins April 13... Also register now for the Parkway Girls Softball League. Registration deadline is March 17, same day as tryouts. .
