Car and Dog Stolen in West Roxbury Reunited With Owner

Two suspects were found sleeping in the car on Saturday.

A dog that was inside a car when it was stolen in West Roxbury was reunited with its owner on Saturday.

Two were arrested inside the stolen vehicle in Haverhill, WCVB reported.

The Roslindale Animal Shelter called Pooh’s owner, Iris Sonnenschein, on Saturday and Sonnenschein confirmed the dog was Pooh after visiting the shelter.

The vehicle, with the dog inside, was reportedly stolen from a Dedham Street driveway near the Newton line, which turns into Baker Street in West Roxbury.

Officers responded to 69 Pecker St. at 6:50 a.m. Saturday and found Matthew Bradley, 23, and Kristina Cosgrove, 19, of Dedham, sleeping in the stolen car.

Bradley is charged with possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute, possession of a Class A substance with intent to distribute and receiving a stolen motor vehicle.

Cosgrove is charged with possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute, receiving a stolen motor vehicle and receiving stolen property.
