Catholic Memorial Welcomes New President

Staff and students at Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury on Tuesday welcomed their newest president to the school community.

Dr. Peter F. Folan took over this year as the fourth president and 12th head of the school, and offered a speech to the community in a welcome ceremony on Tuesday morning, according to CM.

Folan holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s in Education from the Lynch School at Boston College, as well as a BA in English from BC’s College of Arts and Sciences, according to CM.

“It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I take what I have learned over my career in secondary schools, Boston College and through my doctoral research in single-sex education to deepen the already outstanding work that occurs at Catholic Memorial each day,” Folan said, according to CM.
