Developer To Build Apartment Complex in West Roxbury
It is supposed to be a 46-unit building

A Needham developer is planning a 46-unit apartment building on the site of a former landscaping business in West Roxbury.
St. Mary’s Broad Street LLC, wants to build the four-story, 47,537-square-foot residential building at
4945 Washington St., across from the Stony Brook Reservation.
The rental units at would include 19 one-bedroom units and 27 two-bedrooms, some with private balconies, with six designated as affordable, the company said in a statement. All residents would have access to a common roof terrace.

The company’s attorney says the project will cost an estimated $6.9 million.
“The proposed project has been specifically designed to blend with the surrounding structures while maintaining its own identity and to mitigate any potential negative impacts on the surrounding residential buildings,” the company’s attorney said in a letter filed with a small project review application this week with the Boston Redevelopment Authority.

The project would include 67 parking spaces, including 37 below the apartments.
