Dog-Chasing Suspect Nabbed by Police in West Roxbury

Boston Police were able to detain a wanted West Roxbury man after allegedly seeing the suspect and another man chasing after an unleashed dog on Washington Street.

On April 7, around 9:24 a.m., Kostantinos R. Kokkinides, of 4983 Washington St., West Roxbury, was arrested on warrants out of Dedham District Court for possession of a class B drug.

While on patrol, officers saw the suspect with another male chasing after an unleashed pitbull, according to a Boston Police report. Officers knew the suspect had warrants out for his arrest.

According to a police report, the suspect stopped chasing after the dog once he saw the police, and proceded to run the other direction from where the dog was going. After the suspect was apprehended he allegedly said, "I'm just chasing my dog, that's why I'm running."

The dog was caught by the other male and returned to the suspect's home.
