West Roxbury Fire Spews Heavy Smoke
A building, reportedly behind Bertucci's, was spewing smoke Wednesday night in West Roxbury.

A fire was reported Wednesday night in West Roxbury, in the area of VFW Parkway and Independence Drive.
According to scanner reports, a one-story, boarded-up brick building, reportedly used to store lawn equipment, was burning. The fire reached two alarms as of about 7:45 p.m., and the presence of possible hazardous materials inside was reported (later, scanner reports indicate, it was contained).
Numerous fire trucks could be seen at the site, and one firefighter was injured while fighting the blaze, according to an on-scene report.

The address was reported as 265 Independence Drive.
