Boston Mayor Thomas Menino will have surgery on his broken right fibula, <a href="http://boston.cbslocal.com/2013/04/12/mayor-menino-in-hospital-after-suffering-broken-leg/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">according to WBZ</a>. Menino is reportedly at the Brigham and Women's Hospital, and is expected to undergo surgery on Saturday. He allegedly suffered the injury while attending a school event, and wasn't aware of the severity until later, reports WBZ. Calls to the Mayor's Press Office were not immediately returned to Patch. Menino is not seeking reelection, citing specifically he couldn't be out in the neighborhoods as he has in previous years. He spent two months in the hospital for various ailments last year.
