Photos: Food, Glorious Food! From the Taste of West Roxbury

No tummy went home empty with offerings of shrimp ceviche, mac 'n' cheese, carrot cake, pancakes and syrup, bacon, hummus, oysters, pies, brownies, ma's mess, cornbread, coffee and tea, salad greens...

The 2nd annual Taste of West Roxbury was a delicious success on Thursday night at the Irish Social Club of Boston.

More than 20 restaurants dished up their favorites offering an eclectic array of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Entrees such as Banh Mi Ngon's Vietnamese sandwiches and Comella's pasta dish -- Ma's Mess. Appetizers like Masona Grill's shrimp ceviche, fresh shucked oysters from Porter Cafe, quickly disappeared into mouths faster than they could be handed out.

And the desserts, some folks went straight for Sugar Bakery's carrot cake, Baker Baker's strawberry cake, and Edible Arrangement's chocolate-covered strawberries.
