There is a growing collection of hand-written notes in the entrance way of Boston Police Department Headquarters, from people and organizations across the country thanking them for their heroic work during the marathon bombings.
Before heading into the main corridor and through the metal detectors, visitors are being greeted by flowers, balloons, and elementary school-aged drawings of police officers.
