Local and state police are searching West Roxbury and Brookline for a white male wearing a black hat and shirt, who allegedly broke into a house on Bonad Road in Brookline at 1:30 p.m. The suspect exited the house from a second floor window when the homeowner returned.The alleged housebreaker escaped on a bike.Police later recovered a bike on the Parkway at Baker Circle, yet it belonged to a young girl, although it was the same make as the getaway bike, according to unconfirmed emergency scanner reports. Police and a K-9 unit are searching the crime scene, Walnut Hills Cemetery and the Brookline and West Roxbury town line, as the alleged housebreaker was heading toward West Roxbury.
