West Roxbury Academy Student Charged with Intent to Distribute Weed After Mom Calls School

Boston Police arrested a juvenile male for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute after his mother called the West Roxbury Academy to say she thought her son had left home with drugs.
Around 10:03 a.m. on Feb. 13, a male juvenile was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to distribute a class D drug, and intent to distribute within a a school zone, according to a Boston Police report.

The mother called the school around 7:30 a.m., and the assistant headmaster of West Roxbury Academy alerted the Boston Police officer assigned to the West Roxbury Education Complex, of a student possibly holding drugs.
With the officer present, the student was informed he would be searched. He was asked whether he had anything on him that the officer should be aware of, and the student allegedly said no, according to a Boston Police report. An individual red pouch marked "RX" on it had six individual plastic bags with what appeared to be marijuana.
