BRIGHTON, MA — Current West Roxbury resident Peter Davos builds homes for a living, and couldn't resist an opportunity to flip a former church in his hometown of Brighton.

Previously home to Our Lady of Presentation church, rectory, and parking lot, Davos purchased the Oak Square lots for $4 million.

The 3.45-acre site, sold by Colliers’ Boston office, provided a chance for the Prism-award winning developer to build a prime residential development in a predominantly residential area of the City of Boston.

“We were excited to work with Peter on another seamless transaction in a neighborhood that sits close to his heart,” said James L. Elcock, Vice-Chair, Colliers.

But Davos has more plans than just renovating an old church, he says he has plans to live in it.

“I have pursued this site for almost two and a half years. The plan within the plan is to personally move back to Brighton and live at the site," Davos said. "Having built and developed multiple sites in Brighton, I’m sensitive to each neighborhood and pride myself on a completed project that would be appreciated by all."

Davos added that he is looking forward to meeting with neighbors for a personal introduction and project presentation.
