West Roxbury Stolen Vehicle Involved in South Boston Hit-and-Run

The following article is based on a Boston Police report.

 

While trying to help a West Roxbury man find his stolen vehicle, District E-5 Police learned the auto had been involved in a hit-and-run accident in South Boston.

On Dec. 23 around 11:15 a.m., police spoke with the owner of the vehicle who said his vehicle had been parked at 5245 Washington St., in West Roxbury, and that morning the vehicle was no longer in his driveway.

The victim told police he believed an acquiantence staying with him had take the vehicle without his permission. While filing the police report, the victim got a call from a friend who said the car was in the South Boston area, according to a Boston Police report.

An officer contacted Distrct 6 in South Boston, and an officer at that department said the vehicle had been involved in a motor vehicle accident in South Boston with two other vehicles. But the officer said the stolen vehicle had fled the scene, and the vehicle had not been recovered yet.
