Your Guide: Historical Society Yard Sale and Hunger Awareness Event

Here's a look at two events going on this weekend.

Looking for something to do this weekend? Consider supporting these two causes:

Saturday, Sept. 21 , 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Fisher School (830 High Street)

Historical Society Yard Sale at the Fisher School.  The Westwood Historical Society will hold a yard sale on Saturday. Stop by and buy household items, furniture and much more to support the Historical Society.

Sunday, Sept. 22, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Westwood Senior Center (60 Nahatan Street)

"You Can Make Change" Hunger Awareness Event. Speakers from the Westwood Food Pantry and the Abundant Table meals program will talk about suburban hunger and how you can help. Cash donations (including loose change) and food pantry donations will be accepted. Items needed: jars of spaghetti sauce, canned meals, canned fruit, toothpaste, shampoo and individually wrapped rolls of toilet paper and paper towels. Sign up to volunteer to serve meals for The Abundant Table and sign up for their October fundraising walk. Girl Scouts who go will get a “Stamp Out Hunger” patch. Anyone who brings a donation will be entered to win a gift basket.
