'Galactic Yellow' Trust Wins $1 Million On Weymouth Lottery Ticket

A scratch-off ticket worth $1 million was sold in Weymouth recently and cashed by a trust with an offbeat name.

WEYMOUTH, MA — "Galatic Yellow" might sound like a recently legalized substance, but it's the name of a trust that claimed a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts Lottery.

The prize was won on the $4,000,000 Jumbo Cash instant ticket game. The trust, represented by trustee David Spillane, opted to receive its prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes on June 15.

The winning ticket was purchased at Cathay Center at 203 Bridge St. in Weymouth. The restaurant will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

There are three remaining prizes of $1 million in the $4,000,000 Jumbo Cash game. The player's odds of winning are 1 in 3,024,000.

There are two remaining prizes of $4 million in the game with 1 in 5,040,000 odds, according to Massachusetts Lottery.
