Selected from a Second Chance lottery drawing, he picked the grand‑prize ticket at halftime and says he’ll use the windfall to buy a home and start a business, bringing a notable cash infusion back to town.
   

• New Williamstown urgent care center helps meet emergent need (wamc.org) — A new Berkshire Health Systems urgent care center has opened inside the Williamstown Medical facility at 197 Adams Road, restoring nearby walk‑in care for minor illnesses and injuries. Local leaders say the smaller clinic, which saw about 70 patients on its first day, is crucial for the region’s many seniors as federal Medicaid cuts and past hospital closures continue to strain Northern Berkshire health care access.
