Butters Row Bridge Design Hearing Set For Dec. 1
The design of the replacement bridge will be presented in a virtual meeting Dec. 1.
WILMINGTON, MA — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will present its design for Butters Row Bridge replacement at a Dec. 1 hearing, Wilmington said Wednesday.
The virtual hearing will begin at 7 p.m. Dec. 1.
"This bridge needs replacement," MassDOT said. "It will be demolished and replaced with a new bridge consisting of a 5’-5” sidewalk, a 5’ shoulder and an 11’ lane in each direction. The Butters Row alignment between the bridge and Route 38 will be adjusted to align with a future intersection improvement on Route 38 and Cross Street. The improvements will begin at Factory Road and finish across Route 38 on Cross Street. While the bridge is being built the traffic will be detoured around the site."
