Driver Spots Injured Owl On Side Of Road In Wilmington, Alerts Police
"Officers checked it out, and sure enough, this little guy needed some help."

WILMINGTON, MA — A passing driver alerted police about an owl on the side of the road that was injured and needed assistance.
Here's what Wilmington police posted on Facebook about the owl rescue:
"This evening, a vigilant motorist called in after spotting what looked like an injured owl on the side of the road. Officers checked it out, and sure enough, this little guy needed some help.

"Big shout out to Animal Control Officer Sullivan, who swooped in (pun intended) and safely got the owl contained and will be taking it to the wildlife professionals for evaluation.
"Huge thanks to the motorist who took the time to report this to us and to ACO Sullivan for promptly responding!"
