Work hours are expected to be between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. (weather permitting).The project is part of <a href="https://patch.com/massachusetts/wilmington/state-grants-funding-wilmington-intersection-improvements-0">funding awarded to the town last year</a> to install fully actuated traffic signals at the intersection of Rte. 62 (Middlesex Avenue) and Glen Road to improve traffic safety. The improvements will also incorporate exclusive turn lanes, safe pedestrian crossings, and emergency vehicle signal prioritization. The intersection of Rte. 62 and Wildwood Street will also be part of that project, but construction has yet to begin there.
