WILMINGTON, MA - Hugh D. “Dennis” Dickerson, age 81, of Wilmington, passed away after a brief illness at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington on February 28, 2016.

Hugh was the beloved husband of the late Patricia E. (Dion) Dickerson, devoted father of Dennis Dickerson of Wilmington, Donna Kelley and her companion Rick Comeau of Windham, N.H., Terese Shannon & her husband Robert of Dracut and Patricia Morrison of Wilmington, loving “Grampy/Papa” of Lisa Mannion and her husband Dennis, Linda Kelley, Michael Shannon, Robert Shannon, Keryn Shannon, Amanda McHugh, Matthew Dickerson, and Melissa Dickerson, and “Great-Grampy” of Chelsea and Connor Mannion, cherished son of the late Anna (Nadeau) Dickerson, dear brother of Robert Dickerson of New Hampshire and the late Richard Dickerson, brother-in-law of Edward Dion and his wife Joan of Swampscott. Hugh is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as his life-long best friend, Russell Brown and his wife Peggy of NH.

Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Service at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Friday, March 4 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Wilmington. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 3 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
