WILMINGTON, MA — Cities and counties across the country continue to bring back many of the traditional Independence Day activities that were either canceled or modified the last two years. July 4 is just around the corner, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.
We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Wilmington, Massachusetts, so you can start planning now.
Here's what's in store this July 4 in Wilmington:

- Thursday, June 30: The weekend kicks off a 6 p.m. with a carnival, a family fun run, a pie eating contest and more.
- Friday, July 1: The carnival returns at 6 p.m., along with games on the common, an antique car show and the Ladies' Two-Mile Walk.
- Saturday, July 2: Family Day starts bright and early with a pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. You won't want to miss Tremezzo Ristorante's 40th Anniversary Community Cookout from noon to 1:30 p.m. The carnival opens at noon, and there's a fireworks display at 9 p.m.
- Sunday, July 3: The Windham Community Band performs from 7 to 10 p.m., and the Spectacular Fireworks show closes out the fun-filled weekend at 9:30 p.m.

Tewksbury Independence Day Celebration

When: 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., July 3
The Tewksbury Rotary Club kicks off the festivities with a continental breakfast featuring Donna's Donuts. The fun continues all day long, with games, contests, face painting and more, ending with a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m.
