June Thuillier, 80, of Wilmington

June was a member of St. Thomas of Villanova Church where she served as a lector, choir member, and was active in the Woman's Club.

WILMINGTON, MA - Mrs. L. June (Turenne) Thuillier, 80, of Wilmington, MA, beloved wife of Gerard Melvin Thuillier, died Friday, January 22, 2016, from Congestive Heart Failure.

Born on October 10, 1935 in Danvers, MA to Hildola Arthur and Marguerite H. (DeCoff) Turenne.

As a young adult, June worked as a bookkeeper, bank teller, and customer service representative at Sears Roebuck until retirement.

June was a member of St. Thomas of Villanova Church where she served as a lector, choir member, and was active in the Woman’s Club. She also volunteered for the Wilmington Senior Center functions and Minuteman Senior Services.

In the 70’s and early 80’s, June counseled emotionally disturbed patients in the Lowell area and was a Cub Scout Den Mother.

In addition to her beloved husband of 59 ½ years, June is survived by her daughter Brenda Modrak and husband Robert of Derry, NH, and three sons David Thuillier and wife Bonnie of Hillsboro, NH, Peter Thuillier and wife Terry of Derry, NH, and Michael Thuillier and wife Debbie of Tewksbury, MA. Loving “Nana” of 8 grandchildren: Melissa Thuillier of Hillsboro, NH, Cpl James Jantti and wife Stephanie of El Paso, TX, Christopher, Anthony, Stephanie, and Brittany Modrak of Derry, NH, Joseph and Patrick Thuillier of Derry, NH, and great-grandson Aiden Thuillier of Hillsboro, NH. June is predeceased by her brother Arthur Turenne, sister Yvonne Cameron, and her grandson Daniel Thuillier.

You are now at peace and without pain. May you rest in heavenly peace; your job on earth is done. Watch over us all and smile down on us now and again.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 29 from 4-8 p.m.
