Monday Essentials: Make Your Own Ice Cream, Animal Habitats and More

- According to the National Weather Service, Monday will be sunny, with a high near 73. Expect a northwest wind around 9 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
- Monday night will be mostly clear with a low around 51. Expect a northwest wind from 3 to 6 mph.
- Tuesday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Expect a calm wind becoming south 5 to 8 mph in the morning.
- Tuesday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. Expect a south wind from 3 to 7 mph.
- Wednesday will be partly sunny, with a high near 78.
- Wednesday night will be cloudy, with a low around 64. There is a 40 percent chance of rain after 7 p.m.
3. It's Happening Today: Check out "Animal Habitats" at the Wilmington Memorial Library at 10 a.m. and talk about animals and insects that live underground. Kids will also be able to make habitats for worms, foxes and rabbits using art supplies. Register here.
4. It's Happening Tomorrow: Make your own ice cream at the Wilmington Memorial Library on Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 4 p.m. Kids age 6 and up can put the ingredients in a bag, shake it up and enjoy their homemade ice cream. Register here.
