Multi-Year Road Construction Project Begins In Wilmington
An intersection improvement project is expected to cause traffic delays.
WILMINGTON, MA — The first phase of a multi-year, $5.46 million road construction project begins this week. The project is intended to improve the intersection at Lowell Street and Woburn Street.
The project is anticipated to take three years in all. The first phase starts with mobilization, erosion control, tree/shrub clearing, and drainage improvements.
Drivers should anticipate traffic delays throughout the project, the town said in a statement. It's not expected that the intersection will be fully closed during this phase, though there will be lane closures.
