Nancy E. Parker, 78, Lifelong Billerica Resident

Nancy along with her husband Albert were very active members of the Tewksbury Wilmington Lodge of Elks #2070 for many years.

WILMINGTON, MA - Nancy E. Parker (Staples), age 78, a life-long resident of Billerica, died unexpectedly on April 5, 2016, at the Spaulding Hospital in Cambridge.

Nancy was born in Lowell, MA, on January 6, 1938; she was the cherished daughter of the late Edwin and Edith Margaret (Tibbetts) Staples. Nancy was raised and educated in Billerica and a graduate of Billerica High School with the Class of 1956.

Nancy married “her sweetheart” Albert F. Parker in September of 1957; the couple shared many wonderful years together and raised a beautiful family before his passing in April 4, 2006.

Nancy was a devoted wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother; her unconditional love for her family was evident in everything she did. Nancy looked forward to the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; they were “her world” and she was at the center of every family event. Nancy’s crocheting talents will live on for generation after generation because she made countless blankets, sweaters, hats, and mittens, for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that will be passed down for many years to come.

Nancy enjoyed her home and had an “open door policy” for her family and their friends; she was kind to all. In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed watching classic television shows such as Matlock and Columbo, and her Fox 25 news station where she got all of her current events and political views. Nancy was a big fan of Football games and NASCAR races; watching many games throughout the years with her family and friends.

Nancy along with her husband Albert were also a very active members of the Tewksbury Wilmington Lodge of Elks #2070 for many years. Nancy was known to be an avid bingo player and liked to take in a game of Keno every now and then.

Nancy was quite a lady, kind, loyal, and giving; she had a big personality and lots of love for her family. Nancy will be greatly missed by all.

Nancy was the beloved wife of the late Albert F. Parker, devoted mother of Brenda Carrien of Billerica, Bonnie Watters & husband Charlie of Wilmington, Albert F. Parker, Jr. & wife Onice of Nashua, NH, Douglas Parker & fiancé Denise Augusta of Salem, NH, and Julie Rines & husband Jeff of Wakefield. Loving “Gram a/k/a G-Goat” of Danielle Conroy & husband Mike, Jason Carrien & fiancé Jenelle Rogers, Brian Watters & wife Lisa, Kelly Watters & fiancé Doug Leach, Shannon Parker, Jonathan Rines, Kaylee Rines, and Great-Grandchildren Riley Conroy, Collin Carrien, Aaron Leach, Adam Leach, and Jason Watters. Cherished daughter of the late Edwin and Edith Margaret (Tibbetts) Staples, dear sister of George Staples of Billerica, Lewis Staples & wife Phyllis of Dunstable, the late Edith Narduzzo, and Robert Staples.

Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Service at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Friday, April 8 at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, April 7 from 4-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave., Waltham, MA 02451.
