New Wilmington Town Clerk Appointed
Assistant Town Clerk Elizabeth Lawrenson was promoted to replace departing Town Clerk Christine Touma-Conway

WILMINGTON, MA — Elizabeth Lawrenson has been appointed Wilmington's new town clerk, Town Manager Jeffrey Hull said in a communication to the Board of Selectmen Friday.
Lawrenson replaced Christine Touma-Conway, who departed the town in September after over two years as town clerk. Touma-Conway returned to Methuen, where she previously spent 17 years as city clerk, as chief of staff to the mayor.
Lawrenson has worked for the town since 2012, most recently as assistant town clerk since February.

"An underlining trait that she has displayed throughout her tenure with the Town is working with residents in a positive and productive matter," Hull wrote. "Beth is very adept at researching matters that come to her, well organized and has a strong work ethic."
