Paving Projects Set to Begin Thursday

The paving projects had been postponed to July 25, according to the Wilmington Department of Public Works.


There will be several paving and milling projects kicking off around Wilmington on Thursday, July 25.

The Department of Public Works will be grinding and resurfacing Woburn Street and Andover Street between Route 62 and Jonspin Road, excluding the Route 125 intersection.

During the operation, Woburn Street and Andover Street will be closed in the southbound direction from Route 125 to Route 62. Traffic will be allowed to travel normally in the northbound lane toward Route 125, according to DPW. 

DPW will also be grinding and resurfacing Glen Road from the railroad crossing to just shy of Route 62, and Glen Road will be closed in the eastbound direction from Harnden Street to Route 62.

Traffic will be allowed to travel normally in the westbound lane toward Town Hall and Main Street, and Town Hall will be accessible at all times.

Glen Road area residents, including neighborhoods off of Glen Road, will have access to and from their properties at all times, although there may be short delays, according to DPW.

Middlesex Ave. from Glen Road to Colonial Drive will also be grinded and resurfaced Thursday, acccording to DPW, and traffic is planned to be opened in both directions, with traffic being controlled by police details.
