Police Log: Two Assault and Battery Arrests

Monday, Sept. 30

10:10 a.m.- Police received a call reporting that Sunday morning 15-20 pallets were taken from an Industrial Way building. The responding officer reported $60 worth of pallets were taken from the property. The vehicle in question was a white Ford pickup truck.

11:11 a.m.- An officer located a brand new pair of skis near Panera and was unable to locate the owner. The officer checked with Olympia Sports, but they do not sell skis. Panera employees were advised to contact police if anyone reported missing skis.

12:33 p.m.- A caller on Earles Row reported she struck a flower pot at the end of the driveway of a Whitfield Terrace residence and that she had fixed it but the resident was very upset with her. The caller left the location and pulled over on Earles Row to speak with an officer.

5:17 p.m.- Police received reports that three males in a blue Toyota Highlander were going in and out of Simards and Subway multiple times without purchasing anything. The caller stated he believed they were intoxicated. Responding officers reported the vehicle would remain in the Walgreens parking lot with management's permission and the vehicle was released back to the owners son.

9:05 p.m.- Police received a call from a resident of Avalon Drive reporting her 14 year old son who was home alone heard someone banging on the sliding glass door. When he looked out the window he saw a tall male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt standing there. The male was last seen walking away from the door heading to the left, further into the complex. Responding officers checked the area and confirmed it was clear.

Tuesday, Oct. 1

3:12 a.m.- Officers responded to a burglar alarm at Wildwood School. One window had apparently been left open on the Federal Street side by the playground, but it did not appear entry was force or gained. The custodian was alerted and everything checked out.

12:06 p.m.- A male entered the back warehouse of Hampshire Press at 900 Main Street attempting to steal a charging unit for a forklift. When confronted by an employee he said someone told him he could remove junk from business he left the area. The Everett man was summonsed for attempted larceny over $250.

7:20 p.m.- A female employee at Main Street Liquors reported an intoxicated male entered the store, went behind the counter and began to touch her inappropriately. She reported he was last seen walking north on Main Street wearing jeans and a white polo shirt.

The responding officer located the male near Dunkin Donuts. Lawrence Gamst, of 7702 Pouliot Place in Wilmington, was arrested for indecent assault and battery of a person 14 or over.

Wednesday, Oct. 2

1:53 a.m.- Police received a call from an Andover Street resident reporting his ex-girlfriend took his car last night and was refusing to return it. The responding officer reported the vehicle has on star but the account was not active. The ex-girlfriend was contacted and agreed to return with the vehicle. The owner agreed to contact police when the vehicle was at the residence.

4:48 a.m. Officers responded to (removed) reports of a domestic incident between a husband and wife. (Removed) of 342 Chesnut Street, Wilmington, was arrested for domestic assault and battery.
