Shawsheen Tech Superintendent Finalist Could Be Named This Week
Reports say Charlie Lyons' replacement will likely come from within the existing staff.

Who will replace Shawsheen Tech’s outgoing Superintendent Charlie Lyons? We may know this week.
Three finalists, all currently working within Shawsheen Regional Technical High School, are expected to be interviewed Monday night by the School Committee, the Lowell Sun is reporting. The finalist for the position could be named as early as Monday night, if not then by midweek.
Shawsheen Tech serves the towns of Billerica, Bedford, Burlington, Tewksbury and Wilmington.

The three candidates, according to the Lowell Sun, are Social Studies teacher Jessica Cook, Assistant Superintendent-Director Carissa Karakaedos and Technical Director Tim Broadrick. They were whittled down from an initial pool of seven candidates.
Lyons announced he was retiring back in March after almost three decades at the helm of the school. He is set to retire in December.
