The proposed changes include the following, according to a Wilmington Apple report:

  • Raising the minimum age to purchase tobacco and nicotine products from 18 to 21
  • Banning sales of flavored tobacco and nicotine delivery products in all retail stores except retail tobacco stores
  • Including E-cigarettes under the definition of “smoking” and will also not be allowed to be sold where prohibited.

If approved, these changes could be implemented in the fall, according to the report.
