Tewksbury Woman Arrested After Pedestrian Hit and Run

Monday, July 9

  • At 8:44 a.m., a resident of Middlesex Avenue called police because her ex-boyfriend was blocking her driveway. The ex told police the woman had some stolen property. The police told the man to file a report with Woburn Police as the alleged theft took place there.
  • At 9:50 a.m., a "troublesome animal" was reported on the Wilmington/Woburn line.
  • At 9:54 a.m., large chunks of concrete were reported on Burlington Avenue.
  • At 10:57 a.m., Police used the K-9 to help search for a missing juvenile along the tracks on Salem Street. Police didn not locate the person.
  • At 3:48 p.m., a Medford man was issued a summons on charges of possession of class A drugs, negligent operation and speeding after a motor vehicle crash on Glen Road.
  • At 8:11 p.m., 20-30 boxes were reported on the corner of Birchwood Road. The boxes were reportedly dropped off by a moving company. A resident said they were her daughter's boxes. The boxes were removed.

  • At 12:45 a.m., a Carmel Street man was placed in protective custody.
  • At 1:11 a.m., police responded to a pedestrian accident on Salem Street. Tewksbury Police assisted and closed down the street. An abandoned vehicle was found on the scene. Police arrested Sara Brothers, 32, 21 Hickery Lane, Tewksbury. She was charged with OUI-Liquor, leaving the scene of personal injury, negligent operation and mrked lanes violation. The victim was taken to the hospital. The condition of the victim is unknown.
  • At 9:03 a.m., a juvenile was arrested on a warrant on Everett Avenue.
  • At 3:36 p.m., an injured dog was reported on Chestnut Street.
  • At 4 p.m., a baby seat was reportedly stolen out of a locked car on Middlesex Avenue.
  • At 4:01 p.m., a car struck AJ's Kitchen on Lowell Street. There were no injuries and minor damage to the building.
  • At 8:20 p.m., Richard C. Corthell, 44, 23 B St., Hampton, N.H., was arrested on a warrant.
  • At 9:26 p.m., a house was egged on Marcia Road.

Wednesday, July 11

  • At 6:34 a.m., a Cook Avenue mother called police to report her 12-year-old daughter went to bed at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night and is now missing. The back slider was unlocked and slightly open. Police reached the daughter via cell phone and found her at the Wilmington/Woburn line. It is unknown how she got there. Police brought the girl home.
