Textron Finalizes Cluster Bomb Contract

Textron Defense Systems of Wilmington finalized a contract this week with the Air Force to supply 1,300 cluster bombs for Saudi Arabia, according to a release from the U.S. Department of Defense.
The agreement is worth more than $640 million for work being performed at Textron's Wilmington Lowell Street location, according to the release.
The work is expected to be done by the end of 2015, according to the release.
Earlier this year, Implant Sciences Corporation won a bid to sell explosive trace detectors to a customer in Saudi Arabia.
