Timothy J. Shea, 57, of Tewksbury

Tim was the proprietor and president of the Mr. Gutterman Company for more than 30 years and member of St. Dorothy's Parish in Wilmington.

TEWKSBURY, MA - Timothy J. Shea, 57, died unexpectedly on January 19th. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Kelly A. (Krugh) Shea, with whom he had celebrated a fifteenth wedding anniversary this past October 27th.

Tim was born in Lawrence, one of three sons of Elisabeth (Haseltine) Shea of Lawrence and the late Cornelius D. Shea. He was raised in Andover and graduated from Andover High School with the Class of 1976. He matriculated to the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology.

Tim was the proprietor and president of the Mr. Gutterman Company for more than 30 years. He had recently taken a position as a letter-carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.

Tim was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Dorothy’s Parish in Wilmington, and served as a Religious Education Teacher at St. Thomas Villanova in Wilmington.

He also served as an assistant coach for both Tewksbury Girls Softball and Basketball Leagues. Tim was well liked by his many friends and community members. He was well liked and respected by his business colleagues and customers. He was known as a thoughtful, caring person, with a kind spirit.

He cherished his role as husband and father. Besides his loving wife and his mother, Tim leaves his children, Daniel Krugh, Kerry Shea, and Joanna Perron; his brother David and his wife Ann of Princeton, NJ; his brother Michael and his wife Kathleen of Andover; his uncles, Jack, Leo and Joseph Shea; his father-in-law Joseph Krugh of Tewksbury; many nieces and nephews; and was the beloved brother-in-law and uncle to the entire Krugh family.

Visiting hours Sunday, Jan. 24, from 1-4 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey St. and 975 Main St. (Rte. 38) in Tewksbury.

His funeral will begin Monday at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Dorothy’s Church, corner of Harnden and Main Streets. (Rte. 38) in Wilmington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Dorothy’s Church, 11 Harnden St., Wilmington, MA 01887, will be appreciated.
