Two Men Arrested After Crashing Into Wilmington House

Timothy Fortin, 31, and Robert Dupont, 54 are expected to be arraigned on drug charges, OUI, and leaving the scene of a crash.

WILMINGTON, MA — Two men are facing charges after crashing their truck into the front of a house in Wilmington Thursday night.

Timothy Fortin, 31, of Holyoke, and Robert Dupont, 54, of Wilmington being charged with possession of a class A substance and possession of a class B substance.

Fortin is facing several charges including operating under the influence of liquor, operating under the influence of drugs, speeding, and leaving the scene of a crash.

Around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, officers received a call of a car crashing into a home on Shawsheen Avenue. Once officers responded to the scene, they found the car had taken off. But with a description of a blue pickup truck, officers say they were able to find the car and its two occupants a short distance away. Fortin and Dupont were arrested at the scene.

A Wilmington Building inspector said even through the damage, the house was safe for the family to continue living in.

Fortin and Dupont are expected to be arraigned at Woburn District Court on Friday.
